Firstly, well done to the guys from Yesterday Caught Fire for their successful gig at The Mill on Saturday. The night sold out in 45 minutes and people were being turned away for the rest of the night, so hopefully they will be following up shortly with another.

-Getting into gigs free, unless we can sort it out with local promoters

Musicians wanted!!!
A number af Banbury bands are currently looking for musicians/vocalists. If you have been looking to get in a band or reckon you've got a bit of talent then now is your chance!
Zube Sultana [link] is looking for a full set of musicians to bring his new project to fruition - Psychedelic 60's style music reminiscent of the beach boys.
New Christian rock band Paperheartsandceasefires [link] are looking for a rhythm guitarist and bassist to complete their line-up influenced by Underoath and From Autumn to Ashes.
A yet un-named band [link] are looking for a vocalist. The band is inspired by alternative rock music and have samples of their tracks on the myspace.
If you are also looking for musicians, please get in touch on the usual email!

Terminator vs Vader
So finally (and not a minute too soon in my opinion) The Walk Off are set to make their vinyl debut in the form of a forthcoming 7" going out on Hungry Audio (The Telescopes, Stuffy & The Fuses etc) on Febuary 26th . The single, long-time fan favourite "Vader Fader" is probably the third or fourth version of this song that we've heard here at Bmusic and we're please to say every time its been that much more polished - like the opus of an ancient Greek poet - albeit a completely pissed, disillusioned and arrogant ancient Greek poet.
The Only way to really do the track justice is to draw on what seems to have become local tradition and describe The Walk Off in terms of horrific aural related situations...
The sleazy synth-bass lines crawl under harsh vocals barked out in orders from the mouth of a crazed war veteran whos just discovered lipstick and young boys. slick beats creep in to take control of an elevating pulse rate leaving you unprepared for an overwhelming chorus of noise, bloody screams and cheerleader chants to the sound of "Terminator, Terminator - you rock harder than Darth Vader" (Curtesy of Hannah Schla).
And if that didn't suffice then here is a short list we've compiled of other favourites:
If you're still not convinced then as extra incentive the Walk Off have cut the original Dancing Bear into 500 pieces - one for each vinyl pressed. Get 'em while they're hot!

And if that didn't suffice then here is a short list we've compiled of other favourites:
- Squarepushers drum machine being chewed up by Steve Albini and the resulting faecal matter being played at the wrong speed.
- A mob of rave-hungry dancers stuck in a musical where they all know the words.
- The point where sickly sweet pop-isms meet their maker in the planet mu music factory like the abbatoir on the edge of common decency.

Fucking noisy and wonderful Oxonians The Walk Off have organised a super-special launch gig a couple of days before at the zodiac, on the 24th.
They've also picked some of their favourite local bands to support:
Mephisto Grande ~ Feat. ex SC4T members
Baby Gravy ~ This month's Nightshift cover-stars
The Palace Of Righteous Justice ~ Awesome Sex-Super-Hero Core Type
The single 'Vader Fader' features the B-Side "Kick" - it will also be available as a download from itunes, as well as from other websites.
"Vicious Techno pop from Oxford that references the likes of Ministry and Aphex twin. It gives me a migrane and makes my head spin all at once." ~ NME, 2006
